@ Oscar: nice one, huh? When I read this poem for the first time, it kind of hit me with a sad but proud feeling...

Dear sirs at Tamiya:
Please throw away your old catalog photos and pay our mate Richard for these. Yours are good, but these are amazing.
Sincerely, a modeler.

@ Alex: thanks!
@ Mark: I've been working on the dio a few hours a night, almost every night for the past seven months. I'm lucky my wife is a schoolteacher, so by the time the kids are to bed, we settle at the diningtable, get coffee, she starts doing "schoolstuff" like correcting homework etc. and I can start modelling. That way we both do our own thing and still have a social life together !
greetings, Richard.

Diorama done
Update V: Famo diorama done
Hello all,
I finished my Famo diorama and shot some pictures. To be honest I have mixed feelings about this project. The pictures don’t give the diorama all the credit it deserves (it’s not easy to get a diorama this size in your camera’s lens). Yet, when you see the real deal, it merciless shows the little mistakes I made the pictures hide.
In the last seven months I put in about 500 hours work, the result to me is little more than satisfying, but the goal is to build the next dio better than this one. Nevertheless: enjoy...

Hi Richard
Amazing huge project--
-took big balls to even attempt this complex scene---you're build is skillfully built & a lot of fun to look over--I'm sure with all the challenges met doing this project, you're than more ready for what's next.
So what is next?

@ Oscar: thanks for staying with this 'till the end ...
@ Bernd: I know... There's a lot more that I could add, but I'm done with this one. I'm longing for the next project.
@ Adam: thanks! Indeed the logistics with this diorama sometimes was harder than the actual build. Next is a small dio for a contest on the other forum I post. After that, there's another big one coming up, a rare Allied build this time:
- size: about 80x40 cm (32"x16")
- nine verhicles
- about 25 figures
- a bridge, a wharehouse and maybe a small boat
So stay tuned ...
greetings, Richard.

Hi Richard
This is very nice, and has a lot of the things I like in dioramas. For example the tight composition with no wasted space, and a creative story that's told skilfully. Well done mate!
Cheers

@ John and Alex: thanks for your kind words. The ducks.... on another forum I had a guy say he didn't like them... I guess that many people, that many tastes. To me it's sort of an "easter egg" (there are three of them, not two ...)
greetings, Richard.

Hi there Oscar,
The third duck: on the first, the second and the 4th picture you can see it (if you look close) underneath the bridge. Well camouflaged ...
