Sturmpanzer IV "Brummbär" Mid Production...

This is my last model. It's Dragon 1/35 6500 Brummbär with molded zimmerit. The kit is awesome and easy to assemble. It was paint with Gunze and Vallejo Acrylics. For weathering I used AK Interactive's washes, Sin's filters and AK Interactive, Vallejo and Mig pigments. The figure is from Passion Models and It was paint with oils (flesh) and Vallejo Acrylics (all the rest). I hope you like:D!

Hi there Cadu,

I like the clean build, the paintjob, the chipping and your eye for detail, but personally I would bring a bit more depth, more life into this model by adding more shades by means of more (pin-)washes and filters.

I know it's almost as if nowadays you HAVE TO do washes and filters to get some attention, and I'm the last person to howl with the wolves, but in this case I think it would really add a nice touch to an already very nice looking model.

Last point: if possible, you should check out the way the commander is holding his binoculars: a bit odd. One bump and it's gone...

Richard, you are right. Although the pics do not show clearly all the filters, washes and stuff, I do feel that I could have given more attention to contrast and depth. I will try to increase the wash on the zimmerit...

The figure is nice, but there is no way to fit the binoculars properly - not without a surgery. I chose to align it with the eyes and not mess it up .

I've had my doubts about the molded Zimmerit Dragon has done one some of the recent kits. but you've done a nice job on the Brumbar. Looks great. nice painting on the figures.

Thanks for your message. I had the opportunity to handle a built Stug IV with zimmerit and it looks awesome. I also have a King Tiger Porsche with zimmerit and I like it a lot. Dragon made a nice work with molded zimmerit. If you want to have one, buy it without fear...
