Re: Destroyed T-62
Definitly great model and good subject. I like a lot the rusty area in the turret.
Just one thing, is not the sand camo too much bright and clear? I think in your photo looks more dirty and wasted by year in the sun.

Re: Destroyed T-62
Nice work on this little wreck of the T-62. Since most of the tank is buried....must have been a quick build eh.

Re: Destroyed T-62
It was a quick build, no wheels or tracks.
The sand was made with some railroad stuff from the company "Busch". Over that "earth" I painted some white clue and then used sone very fine sand from my last holiday in spain (was more then dust then sand). A little Tamiya sand colour (dark yellow and buff) and some pigments from Mig and the sand was done.

Thanks John, but this one is an older one, with two 3 month old daughters there is not much time for modelling left.

Re: Destroyed T-62
Tobias~ I never saw this one--I like it!
I especially like the [hull down...sort of...] display
That's creative----stuck in a sea of sand
I could see the recovery detail show up and the sergeant yelling:
"ok--now dig it out boys...before chow!"

Re: Destroyed T-62
Wow, very good work!! fantastic. I always wanted to make an idea like yours, but finally I can see it in a very good way. I like the touch of the square stones in front of the tank. Very nice vignette!

Great work Tobias.
It is interesting,
since it appeared Trumpeter model T-62,
can be seen more as destroyed but as a whole
cheers

Re: Destroyed T-62
Hey Tobias,
Just going back through some older forum topics and seeng this in detail for the first time.
Looks fantastic! I like the sand effect and will be trying to do something similar soon. So you cut a pocket in the foam and set the tank into it? I'm going to try to half-bury mine with plaster, which has me a little scared, as it's a heavy conversion.
Pete
