    Hi folks,

as I bought the "1945" set by AK a couple of days ago, I decided to re-paint a Panther I made 2 years ago when I started airbrushing (only had an air can, it was "Panther airbrush massacre", terrible). This time, I tried a simple 2-tone color modulation with the Dunkelgelb colors, and today, after detailling it with brushes and Model Color paints, I'm gonna try to paint the camo on the box, someone from a French forum told me he would send me the pics of the other faces.

). Viel Spaß gehabt mit diesen Farben !

    Hi everybody !

I did the green color today, kinda satisfied with the result ! Don't if I will do a modulation (shadows) on the two-tone camo because the one I did on the base is still visible underneath it... And I don't wanna ruin my work ! Besides, I think it's more suitable on a single color like the "Dunkelgelb" or the Panzer grey.

Danke Tobias ! Denkst du, dass ich auch eine "Modulation" (was ist das deutsche Wort dafür ?^^) auf den Farben machen sollte ?

It´s hard to use a modulation on camo. Better you try it first on an older model

Nice work on this one! Yeah, you should try modulating the camo on an older model, as Tobias suggests it. It's not that easy to get! Wink
How did you like the "late German" paint set? I'm about to get it very soon. Are you satisfied? Wink

    Merci Alex,

English version : i'll try to make some camo modulations on an old tank or on a wreck. About the set, i'm totally satisfied ! The colors are fluent, the dilution is easy to master (73% alcohol from the local DIY shop), even if you'll have to clean the needle quite often (just like vallejo air). But they have an excellent covering property, for this Panther I did'nt use any primer, just painted other the old paint ! So, don't hesitate, go on !

    Hi folks,

Last work : "mapping" with Model Color paints (ivory and flat brow,), oil filter and oil fading. Kinda satisfied with the result, the camo looks darker :

I also tried the AK product "Fuel stains", pretty cool and useful !

    Good evening everybody,

well, it's finished ! I painted some details and also made some scratches on the number 113 which looked too "clean" compared to the rest as someone usefully told me. I also added some mud on the tracks and wheels, using plaster and AK Interactive "Earth effects".

The exhaust pipes received a base coat of MC "Flat Brown", then Mig pigments "Vietnam Earth" and "Lights Rust" fixed with white spirit.

Oh, sadly, the mud doesn't look as good as i'd like it to do... I tried the technique of the airbrush and brush filled with the mixture but.. no, gotta try to make it better.

It looks good, if you want my opinion, but yes the Mud is a bit too clear. White plaster tends to "drink" the color, so maybe by adding some more pigments it would have been better. Maybe your mixture was too light and not thick enough. I don't know. I've tried the same and it was a mess...
Try to work in layers or add some "streaking" with dark mud and wet mud to break the monochromatic appearance of the mud!
But I'm not an expert in mud (I guess we'll have to wait for the issue 5 of the Weathering Magazine!)
Still I really like your work on this Panther! It is very well done, Grim'! Wink

Grim the Panther is looking really nice and I like the mud too. When you mixed the "mud" you used plaster and pigment dust? Did you also add paint? I'm wondering because I want to do something similar on my halftrack.

    Grim hello!
your Panther is great and I like the rendering of wear that you have
    assigned!
Your tracks are not bad for a first, as it is a technical
which must not be obvious to practice!
