hello guys

the kit i started until i wait for inspiration to continue work on my t-55
OOTB build ...

AK Acrylics from the late war german colors set....
dunkelgelb I for the base color and dunkelgelb III for the highlights....why not....
also mix of these two colors and for the darkest shade just a drop of schokobraun in basecolor....
and AK acrylic thinner....



wash on the wheels is finished.... with AK-interactive wash for dark yellow....



on the tank, i made some kind of filter, with the same wash, but this time thinned a lot with white spirit...







pin wash is finished with AK wash for dark yellow...
some filters here and there, just to change shades of the base color on some areas ...
especially on fenders, which were too bright...
and, of course, AK dark steel pigment i used on the wheels













oil paint dots....







this is where i stuck at the moment....next: streaks

Really great work on the cm.

Looking great mate, just started mine. How much of the interior can you see through the cupola?

started with chipping ...for the first time in my life with acrylics...
for this i use AK acrylics...dunkelgelb III for the light base of the chips and AK chipping color
so far i did rear part and one side....time consuming process...but necessary





also i make a bit of battle damage on the front...



and sides....big and small caliber...





back to chipping.....

interior would not be visible at all
i will probably add tank commander figure
or close the hatch.....not sure yet

Thanks for your reply mate. Your chipping is unbelievable, looking forward to more of your work and the finished JT.

Chipping chipping, it is a matter of taste and here is my vision on it.. the amount isn't the problem but the size. If you try to make smaller chips it looks more "realistic". Don't get me wrong they look good but if you make them smaller it looks even better, just try and you see what i mean

i did chipping with acrylic colors...
one light wash with 70% alcohol over chipping will fix this problem

Elco! I was missing for something like 2 weeks and I just can't believe what I'm witnessing here! You starte with a piece of plastic and this turned into a wonderful and exquisite work! Bravo! I love the way this is going! Rusty and yummy!
