There are actually 2 generations and shades of mud. maybe i should add a 3rd gen of meduim colored mud. Some dust is the next thing I will try. Not too much as the vehicle look "humid" to mee. Some old bright dust is already visible on the rear plate, too (underneath the muffler).

    Hi there Bernd,

The mud looks good, applied very natural and random. Also I like the base-color of the tracks. They make a nice contrast to the model. I do agree with Alexander that on the pics the mud looks a bit monotone. I bet in real life it's much better Smile  .

Keep us posted (and DO try that diorama...).

    greetings, Richard.

I made a first layout for a dio. As a beginner I want to learn about cobblestone streets, brick walls, wooden doors & fences, dirt, grass and the like ...

Any hints and tips are welcome!

tried to add stain rings in the buckets by adding a drop of acrylic paint to window cleaner and let it dry for 15 mins in the sun, then remove some of the mixture and again let it dry a few mins ... works best on a glossy base Color.
