    Hello dear visitor!

I´m new to this forum so if you are interested in my person please take a short look here: Danner Roland

Some words about my T-34. It´s the Dragon Kit, Voyager Photoetch, Friuls, painted with Tamiya and wheatered with mainly Ak-stuff, oils and some pigments.

It´s close to the finishing stage. Still planed is to add a reflector to the light, wheatering the saw an changing the base to black colored.

But for now let me show you some pics.

Hi Danner, I really like this, I think you've done a first class job of it especially the paint job! Well done, the only possible critism I could offer is that the timber box looks like it would slide off the back as soon as the tank moves.

    Cheers

    Looks fantastic Roland!

So what is the method for the light? It looks deep red and I like it but you're saying it's not finished? I know nothing about what it's supposed to look like.

    Hello gentlemen,

thank you for your kind words. I had a lot of fun building this kit but also times where it was close to the garbage bin Smile

@ John: Yeah you are right. Maybe i´ll change that. I fixed the box with a kind of blue tac so it won´t be a big problem. But recently i found out, that this stuff is sometimes really bad to the Tamiya paint. So i´ll have a look under it and see if it is possible or not.

@ Pete: for the light i´ll take some lead oder aluminium foil an recreate the reflector of the light slightly smaller as the light itself. So at the end you will only see a small rest of the red primer color inside.

@ Jon: this one is painted with tamiya colors only.
    Black as a primer
Base color: 2 parts of XF 67 Nato green and 1 part XF 21 Sky + a few drops of XF 3 Flat yellow an gloss paint.
Highligt: 1 part XF 67 + 2 parts XF 21 + a few drops of XF 3 Flat yellow an gloss paint.
Then i addes a few drops of XF 15 flesh to the highlight color and sprayed it over very limited areas - be careful i tends to get a very yellowish color. After some filters i used a very bright lightgreen oilcolor and blended it in some chosen areas.

    Thanks for watching once again

Roland, thanks for providing your "formula" for the paint. I hope to try it soon.
