Stug III Ausf B - Finished!

Enough with the craptacular photos! I had the set up... uhm set up so I took a few shots of the Stug. I wanted to check how a dark vehicle looks against a dark background. I like it but will also test against a white which is so hard to pull off.

The beam has been taken off for another round.

Anyway.

Looking good! The rope you chose looks pretty cool too.

Thanks, I fretted over those for a while and it took me a couple of days to get use to them.

I am calling this one done. The last items I added were the tow cable and antenna. I re-did the posts with a better attachment and layout based on ref photos. I think tying those little knots were about as tough as the PE tool clasps.

Bryan! This is fantastic! I really love the stowage and the composition of this Stug. Stiff, strong and over-loaded! This is perfect! The modulation is still visible, but smooth, and the stowage gives a lot of volume to a quite flat vehicle, as well as the planks give length and light to the whole!

Great work Bryan - the german grey scheme is to me most difficult shades to paint in a convincing manner that maintains realism but also visual interest. The stowage looks really good - it just tells the story - which is exactly what I want to be evident to me when I look at an excellent piece of modelling.

Thanks all. I'm glad you like it. I wasn't sue how decent it would turn out in the end. there was just so much more to keep track of and weather on this thing.

Very nice indeed. As said elsewhere, the composition is spot on with just the right amount of stowage, i love the suddle modulation.
